Using Blockchain for Enabling Transparent, Traceable, and Trusted University Ranking Systems

Ranking systems have proven to improve the quality of education and help build reputation academic institutions. Each current ranking is based on different methodologies, criteria, standards measurement. Academic employer reputations are subjective indicators some rankings determined through surveying that neither transparent nor traceable. The fall short providing transparency traceability features for both objective used calculate ranking. Also, managed controlled in a centralized manner by specific entities. This raises concerns about fairness trust. In this paper, we propose blockchain-based solution enable transparent, traceable, trusted, decentralized systems. We develop smart contracts automatically govern entity interactions according set policies. leverage storage, oracles, threshold encryption securely fetch, store, share institutions’ data. present algorithms along with their implementation testing details, as well validate contracts. proposed evaluated terms cost, throughput latency, security show its affordability, resiliency against attacks, superiority. All developed contract codes made publicly available GitHub.
